Of course I can’t really explain all of this blog here. But the idea of the blog is that I am writing about fashion, style and beauty for regular women like me. I call it welfare chic because I am pretty broke, but I have gotten interested in fashion. It might be a midlife crisis, I don’t really know. But I’m having fun with fashion, learning how to do makeup, and developing a personal style. At one point in my life I would have said all of this is vanity. I would have said that appearance doesn’t matter. I did not wear makeup at all for most of my adult life. But now I’ve found out that playing with fashion, creating new outfits, playing with makeup, these things are all just fun to do. I just enjoy it!
So this blog will be about what I learn along the way. I hope it will be fun and informative. I hope that I will be able to communicate to regular people like me. People who cannot pay more for a pair of shoes than they do for a month’s rent.
Some aspects of the fashion world are ridiculous! But some of them are, well, just plain fun!
