I loved how this outfit turned out but my son hated taking pictures that day. So I wound up with bad pics of a good outfit, very disappointing! When I put it on I could feel that I’ve lost weight, and that made me feel great! I’m really trying hard to lose weight. I had set this outfit aside for a warm day, and yesterday was perfect. The best thing was feeling the belt around my waist, I felt so thin! I know the outfiyt isn’t the greatest. But I do like the mixed print, especially in my favorite shade of light blue.

A Case of the Stripes
-+-I’m loving these nice warm days of early spring! So I recently decided to pull out some shorts. I couldn’t get into these last summer, so I was thrilled to wear them. I was nervous about mixing the stripes-I do usually keep my mixed prints subtle. But I took a chance on this outfit, and I like the result.
I love this outfit, except for 2 things: 1, of course, is how fat I look! I can’t wait to get smaller!!!! 2 is that my white legs look atrocious! I am used to wearing long pants, leggings or tights. But now that spring has come, I am a bit confused: everything in fashion tells me to go bare legged, but the reality is that my white legs aren’t looking so good! By the time June comes I will have a nice tan, but we’re not there yet. And I haven’t converted to fake tans yet. So I have to find a solution.
This may be it:
This article explains hose/tights choices based on your skirt length. It’s helpful, but I really need to know what to wear under my minis or even shorts in this time of year-early spring. I did post this question on twitter, directed to MyFashAvenue and Fashionalities. I will post their answers when I get them!
Seeing Spots

I’ve been looking for a great pair of polka dot jeans or pants since I bought my red and white polka dot sweater. I love the polka dot trend and I wanted to be able to mix dot prints for a cohesive look. One day when I was checking out the Charlotte Russe sale section, I found the perfect jeans. They were 16.95 on sale, and the sweater (10.00) came from JCpenney on sale. I already had the black booties and the Tommy Hilfigger jacket. I really like the final outfit!

Navy Blue and Gold
I’ve had these pics for almost a week now, but I hate posting pics where I’m not wearing makeup. But I do love the outfit, so I finally decided to post them. I do love the outfit, so here it is.

The jeans are Jennifer Lopez from Kohls. The blouse and the jacket are vintage, and the shoes are DKNY. I wanted to wear heels that day but I ran out of time. But I do like how the gold from the pants is continued in the shoes. That is supposed to lengthen the line of my body and make me look taller.
I liked this outfit a lot and I am sure I will wear it again.
The Camo Tee
I had been reading about the camouflage trend and I really wanted to give it a try. In the midst of folding and putting away my son’s laundry, I found his camouflage tee shirt. Camo is definitely not his thing-his grandmother gave it to him, and he never wears it. So I pulled it out of his closet, and styled it like this, with black tights and a skirt from Target, a vintage Tommy Hilfiger denim jacket, and vintage booties from ebay.
This was a short day of errands, so I just carried my daughter’s diaper bag. It’s a fabulous bag, and can be converted to a briefcase or a large purse. It’s by Timi & Leslie, and I got it from zulily.com.

A Trip to the Mall

We went to Richmond because my son had an appointment with his neurologist. But I had promised him we would go to the mall, so we stopped on the way home.
After really hating my outfit from Friday, I worked really hard to make this look a success. I’m still not sure if I achieved that, but I tried. I wore a dark red skirt, dark red tights, and shoes of the same color. I paired this color block with a black and white top and a houndstooth sweater. Here’s how it turned out:
